Atopic Dermatitis
Skin types that experience atopic dermatitis (perioral dermatitis, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis) typically have barrier function problems that can often appear early in life. Inflammatory symptoms frequently present as an itchy red rash which can be chronic, or it may appear only during periods of increased environmental/internal stress. Sometimes symptoms are isolated to small areas of the face, and other times they affect arms, legs, or hands and feet.
